Winder Hall Cottage is a 4 Star Gold Award detached 19th century cottage of a 16th century manor house.   The cottage offers accommodation for four, high on the fells within the Lowther Estate, between Penrith and Ullswater at a hub of footpaths and bridleways on the classic fell walk, High Street.  Excellent location for exploring the beautiful Lake District.  There is a mix of modern and antique furniture, an AGA warmed kitchen with hand built cupboards and a delightful, comfortable sitting room with traditional beams and a wood burner.  Plenty of storage for bicycles, canoes and buggies. 

A fab house, everything we needed was here. Will come back again and recommend it. Ideally situated for lots of walks, High Street & Helvellyn to name but 2. Loved every minute, many thanks.
