Park View Cottage is an idyllic, 3 bedroom 18th Century stone self-catering cottage in the village green of Askham in the Lake District. Beautifully restored and awarded four stars by VisitBritain, Sleeping up to 5 people, Park View is a real country cottage, characterful and comfy, furnished and decorated eclectically, with a large newly redesigned and refurbished kitchen and Rayburn. Many pictures are from the Lowther family collection. The cottage sits in its own pretty gardens above the village green, just a short stroll to the village shop, pub and an open air swimming pool open during the summer months. Nearby footpaths lead to Lowther Park and its Castle and the Lake District’s northern fells, and two miles away is the George and Dragon, the Lowther family-owned pub and restaurant.

Beautiful cottage! The lovely cakes and wine were a very welcome start to our holiday. The facilities are excellent and the service from Lowther staff 1st Class. We will return.
