Marquee Receptions

The 800 year old Lowther Deer Park, with its ancient oak trees and spectacular Lake District setting is an ideal site for a marquee reception.  Karen Rhodes Catering can source anything from a clear-span aluminium framed marquee or a traditional English canvas bunting adorned tent, to a stunning Kata Tipi, with fire braziers, hand carved benches and trestles and reindeer skins.

The Deer Park is 30 acres, completely secure with gated entry, private road access, sites suitable for helicopter landing, offering complete exclusivity.  It is suitable for weddings and celebrations of up to 500 guests.  The Deer Park is equipped with its own loos and power supply.

We recognize that good food is such an important element of your wedding day, which is why we have teamed up with Karen Rhodes Catering to act as our exclusive wedding caterer at Lowther.  We want to ensure that you not only receive the best possible food and service but also a range of menus that cater for all tastes and budgets.

Whether you want a simple summer buffet, a lavish served banquet or a delicious barbeque, our caterers are flexible and always use the best fresh and local produce, whereever possible.

Karen Rhodes Catering also offers a sensibly priced wine list or you can bring your own wines and champagnes, in which case you will be charged a modest corkage charge.

Evening Parties

For an evening party we will be happy to recommend local suppliers for a live band or disco and for catering such as a Hog Roast.

We can provide and open or pay bar throughout the evening party.
