Message from Show Director Robert Benson

The organizers of the show took the difficult decision to cancel the 2009 show following exceptionally heavy wet weather during the Summer and Autumn of 2008 which badly affected the show field. Over 36inches of rain fell in the 4 months July – October .

The 2010 show will go ahead as planned on the 6th - 8th August. There will be some changes in both content and layout which will be announced in due course. The entire show area has been subsoiled and reseeded in the month of April ’09 and improvements /repairs to drainage carried out in preparation for the return of the show in 2010.

The only event being staged this year on the 9th August 2009 is the newly named Lowther Trail Run. This will take place on Sunday and the intention is that it will then remain on the Sunday of the show in future years.
