Welcome to the website for the 2008 Lowther Driving Trials & Country Fair which takes place on the 8th, 9th and 10th of August.

Our website has been re-designed this year and I hope that it proves informative and user friendly.  We have provided more information on this year’s programme together with the facility to buy tickets online and to download schedules and entry forms for the pre-entered events.

Lowther Driving Trials & Country Fair is an annual event run on a non-profit making “charitable” basis.  The aim of the show is to provide an insight into the countryman’s way of life and at the same time provide a platform for the promotion of the countryside.

Since the show started in 1973, we have made donations of over £280,000 to over 25 different countryside organisations and have also organised a Charity of the Year to benefit from collections made over the course of the event – the 2008 Charity of the Year is the “Help for Heroes” campaign providing help and facilities for wounded servicemen which is so important given the current conflict in Iraq and Afghanistan.  Please remember that a significant proportion of your entry money is helping to support these good causes.
